Pano of a field of Oil Seed Rape

by GIULIO57

I don’t know if it is possible to take pictures inside a Natural Reserve but I did it. Last year I had a few problems with a policeman. While taking pics in this area suddenly appeared a jeep of Police Patrol Dept. Guy was extremely polite with me: he asked me for to know why I was there and if I took photos for my own pleasure or for job. I gave all these news to him but I must observe that no signal WARN peoples about photos or what to do or not. This year I looked at this beautiful field. I entered in this area again:NO GATES!!...and I took this pano in ten minutes. While leaving this area on my car….appeared POLICE Patrol. They gave me a bad look….but I was driving my car…I was not taking photos or stealing or doing something bad. By the way: again NO SIGNALS WARN YOU…so I’m allowed to take photos, to ride my bike (there are a lot of bikers!!). Camera on tripod. Three captures using Pentax Zoom Lens 12-24mm. Captures stiched together using CS5 Photomerge. No filters. Just a few steps on CS5 to correct levels and contrast (+5%). I took this pano to give right dimensions of this field. Depth: 2Km and Length 4km. On the left there is another field. Smaller than previous: about 2 x 1 Km.(For those of you that will come to Italy. Here it is absolutely forbidden to take pics of Military Areas, Train Stations, Airports). That is so typical you Giulio! The end result is very simple but very effective!

Pleasing bucolic colours and graceful shapes... a good reward for your efforts vs the police!
