Sunset at Wast Water

by Stu-D

Following my two very local photos in a suggestion to look at what is on your doorstep, this is an example of a photo taken with a £5 4MP camera - you don't need to spend much! In fairness it cost more than that cos I bought it ages ago brand new (£345!), but you can buy a Canon A80 on eBay for about that.

I have printed this at 20" x 8" and it looks OK, but it wont print much bigger. It is about 3 photos stitched in Hugin

Well done Stu-D, I know the area and you have done a great job in catching one of those magic moments of transient light on the fells.

Has this become the Canon A80 User website while I slept?
Nice shot by the way.

Nope, just a suggestion that time and place is more important that glitzy gear - although I will stick with my K20D for creative control and image quality!

It might not be my best shot, although on the couple of occaisions I have done sales it has been a popular one.
