Last Supermoon of 2016

Last Supermoon of 2016

Photo Information
Greeting the New Year with an old moon; single shot exposed to control the highlights on the moon. Ended up pulling several stops out of the shadows just to see what I can get (yay for the K3). You couldn't see the architecture at all on the original jpg; just the odd light.

Aha very nice. WOrks well in mono and I like what you did with it contrast wise.

I find my mind goes bezerk trying to pick a 'perfect' composition with the super moons. When one is looking through a 300mm the moon is travelling fast.

Hopefully get using my F*300 f4.5 a lot this year for this type of landscaping,

Happy new year

It does indeed. No time for pondering the scene Jealous of the 300mm and looking forward to some of your shot with it

Cheers Giulio. That Christmas tree on the building was a pleasant surprise
