Valkenburg Station
Photo Information
Went into Valkenburg last night to take a few shots around the train station that I had intended to take for some time. Most of them were a tad overcooked, including this one, although I quite like it anyway.
Must go back and get it right next time!

I like this shot very much indeed. Nice and atmospheric.

I too like it a lot, especially light reflection of the rails that, I think, add much to the oveall effect!

Maybe over cooked to some, Paul, but I love the tension and atmosphere. It's so unlike an English railway station!
Best wishes,
Andrew

Thank you for your comments gentlemen.
The platforms have undergone some modernisation in the last few weeks which, I think, has had a negative effect on the overall appearance of the station. What you can't see in this shot shot is the beautiful old station building, with its magnificent crenellations, to the left of the left hand track.
Incidentally, I was standing between the road crossing barrier and the track hoping that I could get the shot taken before the next train came along, thus I could do little about the dark patch bottom left.
I will post a couple more from last night's session but they need a little bit of work to be done before posting.
Paul.
