Nice picture but Nuri's comments have nudged my brain into action and I realise I don't know the difference between 'manual' (it does what you tell it to do) and TAV (it does what you tell it to do). In fact, I appear to have deliberately ignored it because I don't understand it

David, in M mode you can choose ISO range [ISO AUTO] but it won't be operative; only you can fix its level via "ISO" button. Therefore, IMHO, TAV mode has some advantages over M mode as for the effectiveness of noise and EV managements. Maybe the subject is worth to be discussed in PU forum.
