Chuffing Down the Coast
Sadly St Bees Head is obscured by the steam, but lets be honest I didn't go there (only) for the scenery!

If it had been sunny, a better spot would have been the headland just a little to the south accessed by a small road bridge, to view the "sea" side of the train.
Your recent efforts on the Shap Fells David, set me looking at upcoming steam trips and I saw this one.
I used one of the Northern Trains Day Ranger tickets on the penultimate day of the offer, to get there for £10 from Sheffield (Meadowhall departing 0634), changing at Leeds, Carnforth and a walk around in Whitehaven. Greenholme would have been good but I couldn't get there in time as the Settle-Carlisle was partially closed.
