Here is a shot to remind you of the seaside at the height of an English Summer.
From July 2008 on the beach at Sheringham in North Norfolk. The whole view lacked colour on a rather dull day so I thought it lent itself to monochrome.
Taken on my K10D/Samsung 50-200 as a jpeg then edited to b&w (in MS Picture Manager,IIRC).
Oh, and have you spotted him yet?

Yes, it was a fairly crude conversion using that software. Had I shot in RAW, I could have done a bit better with Silkypix.
After I uploaded this, I noticed how out-of-focus the foreground was, most particularly in the bottom left corner but curiously not quite so much at the same distance but towards the middle of the frame. At tele focal lengths, of course the DOF will be restricted.
I wondered if this was showing a characteristic of the 50-200 at a fairly wide aperture (f5.6).
I can't remember from the time of shooting whether I had noticed the stroller. It was the skeletal shape of the breakwaters that took my eye.

Good repeating subject of line & form.
Looks to have been a typical pommy summer day as it looks to be flat lighting due to an overcast sky. You appear to have boosted contrast (just a little too much causing loss of detail) to alleviate that flatness.
