Electrocuted Fly

by Photon

This one stayed still long enough for me to photograph, only because it had been electrocuted by the kitchen fly killer! One of it's legs appear to have been fused to it's tail whilst shorting between the live and neutral interlaced grids of the fly killer. I now feel guilty when switching the device on but we don't want our food to be contaminated by such creatures or their larvae! Close-up photography has caused me to become perhaps over sensitive to the individual lives of insects and the magnificence of nature's engineering!

Don't worry, they feel no pain.
