Athletes in Motion

by go4IT

There are some 20 strap-iron sculptures of athletes by the famous Canadian artist, inventor, and poly-talented Bill Leishman (aka "Father Goose") adorning the western patio of a downtown Toronto hospital. These represent gymnasts. The steel looks more like ribbons!!!

Gorgeous - I've seen, and photographed, something similar, although bare metal, at a sculpture park here in the U.K., but by a different artist.

One, if my enduring regrets is that I have neither the means nor manse to house such large scale work. Still, if that is all I have to regret in this life, then I have few if any, grounds for complaint

What a lovely piece of work / art. Full of movement, light and enjoyment. Excellent photograph. No, not excellent, awesome is more appropriate.
Be well, stay safe, but most of all, invest in memories

Thanks for your comment...These works of art were bought by a very rich person, who then donated them to the hospital. I think they like it there.
