I like the composition and the almost sepia tone to the photograph.

Excellent Stephen, a lot of dynamic range in this one but you've managed to get some details in the shadows which helps this shot no end.

Yes David, Photomatix can be useful for one-shot developing as well as full HDR with a et of bracketed exposures

Excellent choice of vantage point too - even the breeze was on your side.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
