Dark Starling

by stevesphotos

Part of a 'picture a day' project (100 days from the 1st of April ... called 'Fools 100', no irony required).
Occasionally, there's a picture that captures my imagination and suggests a mood that I try to convey ... in this case with Nik Software's Silver efex Pro ...
Taken with a Tamron 70-200mm F/2.8 and a Pentax AF1.7x converter.
While technically a wildlife shot, I hope you agree this belongs more in 'black and white' than 'wildlife'. This isn't supposed to be a natural history 'record' shot, it's supposed to me 'moody'.

Great title and an image which delivers in all respects
