What the heck is this?

Photo Information
I haven't put this on here due to it being a great picture as I am just starting to try macro, and it is very hard when you have a 19month old child who is trying to press the shutter button whenever I pick it up.

What I really wanted to know is what the heck is this???

This was taken with my recently aquired Lester A. Dine 105mm macro Lens.

Thanks for that Jumbo, I cant believe I haven't seen ladybird larvae before. I would have imagined them to look like they do as adults but a lot smaller

My pleasure Dean, if you put ladybird larvae into Google you will be amazed at how many there are.

Good Pic. And i understand how difficunt it is to take pictures when you have a nineteen month old camera assistant. I have seven children from seventeen years down to two years. No wonder I look so old.
Unfortunately I don't know what type of insect it is.
Good work!
