Fair point, although because the cars are so obviously blurred i'm hoping that the tower being blurred also doesn't detract as much. Was handheld. I did have my tripod with me as i'd taken some shots of the fireworks using it. It was quite cold and my son wanted to go so I got him to carry the tripod whilst I took a few 'grab' shots as we wondered back to the car via the fairground.
