Pessimism:Optimism [This Beach....]

by graysummers

Pessimism.
This beach.......too old, too tired,
This sand……….too flat to reach skywards,
These grains…. so individual, yet alone, no friendships,
Each swirls, each settles, too weary to fight,
Each wave break, each wind whisper, too strong to deny,
Determining.
This beach.
Is me.

Optimism.
This beach……always changing and inspired
This sand……..rearranging its desires,
These grains…dancing and alive.
Each swirls, each settles, exuberant in flight
Each wave break, each wind whisper, gentle grace giving,
Promising.
This beach.
Is me.

Thanks both.

Definately not a poet, or an expert photographer. But you have to have a certain medium to express self soul searching within. Well or badly expressed? I care not a jot....because ultimately meditation irons out the creases in life. However, sometimes it needs a more solid form to whither the emotional state to more realistic viewpoints. I look back on my lyrics as a musician and think 'Was I really in that frame of mind?'

So...Black and white photographs with words fastly written on the gut instinct are an ideal medium.
Yin/Yang/Expressing....Sky/Earth/Describing.....Salt/Pepper/Tasting. It's all a bit of fun city isn't it?
