The Cruelty of Winter

by davidstorm

Killed by the severe cold weather, or by poisoning, or by natural causes? We will never know, but this Fox died not long before I stumbled across it, there was no sign of scavengers attacking it, or decomposition. Seen today on a walk around my local patch, Killamarsh, in South Sheffield. The water behind is a flood plain for the River Rother, frozen by the recent low temperatures.
