Yep... 'tree' is good. I do like the colour contrasts between the eponymous tree and the sky.

Yes, I agree with Graham. Being something of a minimalist, I would have seized on that contrast and played with just the two elements - tree crown(s) and clear sky. The pollarded trees by St. Edmund's church might be similarly treated.
It was certainly a profitable walk, however!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I actually really like the whole as it is - the foreground fence is full of texture with that grass as well!
