320th @ f5.6 (800 iso) light was a bit of a struggle but it's my first wild otter this year.

Your FIRST wild otter !! I've never seen one ever.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I do see them throughout the year in a couple of locations here in West Wales and although they breed right through they are most active now as food becomes more available, supplementing their mainly fish diet with amphibians and chicks of coots and moorhens and the likes

However this is the first sighting this year though I have visited several locations regularly since end of January but all have been quiet so it is nice to see one up close and personal .

They are getting more common on coastal wetlands over here and this specimen is uncharateristically large and very busy taking around two dozen fish over the three hours I was watching.

I am hoping to get beter light in coming weeks as it was quite murky this week when I took the pictures
