Bathroom Boats

by pgweber

My friend Sarah likes this picture so much, she wants a print of it to hang in her bathroom.

Would it be money down the plughole?

Captured on the edge of Lake Windermere in September 2008, using K10D/16-45 as a jpeg and tweaked with Silkypix.

I like it too, good colour and sharpness. Not sure I'd want it hanging on the wall though , I think it would have to be huge to have any impact.

Thanks BAJ & Tim,

I was drawn to the woody colour of the boats in the sunlight of what was a very warm late September day.

I did try to lighten the shot a little, but did not want to bleach out the sand and pebbles.

I have been very pleased with the detail revealed using my 16-45, especially when stoppped down like this to f11. No surprise it is so well regarded on this forum.

I am thinking of hanging yesterdays pic 'Westmorland Wilderness' in my cellar.

Regards
Peter
