Mx-1 First Test - Rother Valley Nature Lake

Photo Information
This is not by any means a considered image, it's just my first outing on with my recently acquired Mx-1 (thanks Barrie Forbes and Andrew Currie). I'm impressed by this little camera, great retention of shadow and highlight detail, colours, WB, focus accuracy, in fact everything apart from the speed it writes RAW images to the SD card!

Looks to be a great tool in your hands, David. You've captured a lovely scene...wonderful lead in with wispy pops of rusty-orange, pink and green leading to a fantastc looming cloud and mountain horizon.
Cheers...Donna 😊

Obviously a great little camera capable of pulling out great detail - but also takes skill to get the best out of it. I like the choice of composition you have chosen - it's a kind of timeless English lakeside scene

The colours and contrast are very nice indeed - as is the entire image, which picks up on so many different areas for consideration (all of which look good)
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
