Scotsman was hauling an evening Dining train run to celebrate the reopening of the Md Hants Railway to Alton after a year of truncated running caused by road widening and bridge replacement work

I think the graininess helps it. Certainly doesn't detract from that superb shot. (The serial number of the carriage looks really odd against that locomotive).
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Converging diagonals, gritty fog and the solitary figure combine with the surrounding darkness to produce a compositional gem. A+++
