Andy,
Did you use your tripod for this one? It would have been a really god shot. Also have you got the Shake Reduction on? I know just how hard it is to steady the lens without support. None of my Goldfinch shots are good enough to post yet and no the little darlings have vanished again

Yes I used the tripod with shake reduction on. It is quit heavily cropped as he was on the other side of the garden, under a tree no less just to make life hard. But still I thought he was cheeky so posted him 
Lil birds seem to be hard to focus properly at any range!!
