Love the colour contrasts and the nicely-detailed, backlit wings of this gorgeous specimen. Also the highly-textured water and sandbar. Like.

Thanks very much for your kind, enthusiastic and considered comments 😊 It was so compliant of the Egret to choose that flight path through those elements of , hues, forms and textures ... sometimes one gets lucky with such confluences. 😁

Superbly shot, very difficult to get one this sharply focused and the bird is in exactly the right place in the frame, IMO. Very well done indeed.

Many thanks indeed for your kind and generous comments David. By the end of the panning motion of my camera the bird was heading into the low sun directly and not enough time to change the exposure values to make another attempt 😂 Sometimes there's a finite opportunity and I was stoked to have met it.
