BOAC B747 plus Red Arrows

Photo Information
Taken at Fairford on saturday...2nd pass (L-R).

One of the visual highlights of the show.

BA is celebrating its 100th anniversary (hence the retro painted aircraft) although several commentators dispute the ancestry they are claiming.

Nice livery
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I've seen the Landor liveried 747 but not the BOAC or the Negus, I live below the LHR flightpath.

The Landor appeared on early 747-400s before the Chatham dockyard scheme....The BOAC/Negus appeared on -100/-200s (Short upper deck)

Fabulous aircraft well captured in a situation unlikely ever to be repeated, stunning photo.

It will be the sad day BA's 747 leave for good.
