Steam at Grosmont

by davidtrout

Two of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway's busy steam locomotives captured alongside each other at Grosmont. The recently restored Schools Class loco Repton on a train to Pickering, is passing the line's Standard Class 4 mogul, taking water at the engine sheds. I like the clarity of this image despite it being a massive crop to 'blow' it up and ISO 1,250 was being used to freeze the movement.

Telephoto compression used to good effect in this one.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I'm sure 'Moors Line' magazine would appreciate a copy of that!

They're welcome to a copy. and some of the others I took that day, Paul. How should I go about contacting them?

Love the telephoto compression of perspective (if that's the right term!)
