Natural light from a window and reflector.
A very quick lucky capture, he doesn't keep still for long.

A delight. I know just how hard it is to get a shot of a lively boy.
Best wishes,

Nothing lucky here Maria, if you had a reflector present then you were clearly thinking about what light you needed to get this shot. Your planning has paid off here with a great portrait.

Thank you all for your kind comments, David i always have a reflector ready in my spare room, you never know when an opportunity arises, he plays with it and luckily he was holding it in this shot, hence the light under his chin, so i would say a lot of luck and a bit of planning, i would have liked to have got his eyes a little more focussed though
