One Red
I'm not sure this one really works but it reminded me how difficult it is to shoot shiny, reflective, objects.
I wondered if Ferraris have red bearings?

Very clever and effective, Glynn.
It takes real cojones to produce and post an abstract composition like this.

The lighting was done using a daylight energy saving fluorescent lamp held directly above and just out of shot. The multiple dots are caused by reflections of the single lamp off of the adjacent balls.
I did start off using my DFA100 macro but being that close caused all sorts of problems with the reflections so I reverted to using the DA55-300 close to its long end. Experimentation also showed that a near perpendicular shot looked best, giving those nicely spaced light dots, so the tin of bearings was tilted around 30 degrees (the maximum before they all rolled out!) and the tripod was set at its highest (involving me standing on a chair to see through the viewfinder).
The bearings were 3 layers deep in the tin to avoid seeing the bottom of the tin so near to all the 1000 were actually used.
The red ball was sprayed with red paint, which took about an hour to dry. I did consider doing the red colour in PP but I don't think I would have got the 2 or 3 layers of reflection around the red ball that add extra detail to the shot.
I'm still trying to work out what else to do with all these ball bearings
