At Least One On Every Ranch

Photo Information
This is the classic Aermotor Windmill - really not a mill at all, but rather a wind-powered water pump. These distinctive wind pumps were seen on ranches throughout the plains and deserts which made them a quintessential image of the American West. The first Aermotors were built in 1888; today the company is owned by a group of west Texas ranchers.

This Aermotor sits beside an old riveted iron storage tank. I tried to finish this picture to evoke a mood of the old west.

An interesting story and most effective processing.
Best wishes,

This is a great picture.
Ilike the motive and the mono-colour.

It also reminds me of some of our landscapes with the windmills.

It would be a totally different photo without the processing! Nicely done Don!
