I would like to be out of "Chorus"(as we say in Italy)...I do like the grey atmosphere and orange tones on the wood-path of pier give a special feeling to the compo. It could be a sun ray or a large hole in the clouds that allow sun rays (or late light) to pass through...It is natural...as natural (almost reddish) is the colour of wooden-pier....but this is my opinion only!

Hi Barrie, you are correct, it isn't colour popped, the day was so grey and dark that it appears almost monochrome apart from the jetty. The reason for the orange tones in the wood is that the Jetty is almost new, so the wood has not dulled down yet.

Good use of the long exposure and the grad filter saves you from being another Mel Allen 'wannabe'.
