Rounding the curve

Photo Information
Approaching Tan Y Bwlch on the Ffestiniog Railway.
Taken with the Sigma 28-70 epsilon at 55mm.
I set the K-r on 'Action' mode to take several frames as I was leaning out of the carriage window being bounced around !

If this was taken last week then my son William might well have been on the footplate. Strange coincidence, Peter.

Obviously William loves this engine as he's an L&B driver but the Ffestiniog drivers find "Lyd" very heavy on coal.

Great picture, particularly considering the circumstances.
Best wishes,

Andrew

We travelled on Tuesday 7th August and this shot was taken on the way back to Portmadoc on the 12:50 train.

I had a long chat with a volunteer who did the 'oiling the linkages' job a Blaenau and he pointed out that this loco was only completed in 2010 but from original plans found at Waterloo. Incidentally coach 121 we travelled in was built THIS year !

Hope you like my other N Wales offerings - there are still more to come !

Peter
