Hunter

by Jimmy_Dean0

This Hawk has been hanging around the bird feeder in the front garden - and he's not looking for bird seed! It's either a Cooper's Hawk, or a Sharpshinned Hawk. Not sure as they are quite similar, and I'm not an expert .

Brilliant shot of a very handsome preditor.
It looks very much like the British Sparrow Hawk

Thanks all for the kind comments. He hung around for 20 or 30 minutes, and I was able to get quite a few good shots of him in various poses. Things were very quiet around the feeder during that time . He has kept the chipmunk and squirrel populations in check, and we have lost several morning doves over the summer, but it's great to see him so close up.
