Pots 'n' Pans Stone

by sandinista

Another from Saddleworth Moor. The Pots and Pans Stone is so named due to circular hollows in the top which fill with water and resemble pots and pans. The Obelisk in the background in the Saddleworth War Memorial, further back the ridge is formed by the Kinder Stones. Mono conversion with a digital Rollei Retro and Red filter applied in PP

Superb composition and the tonal range is fantastic. Did you use a red filter?

A wonderfully dramatic image, Jim.

Of course, this place will forever be associated with Brady and Hindley for those of us living south of Tewkesbury. Whic is clearly a shame.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thanks Andrew, also for those of us up here in't grim north . It is a majestically bleak place and of course those associations add to that feeling
