When I made pottery and did the exhibition and craft fayre circuits I spotted many with this stance. It speaks of someone who spots an interested onlooker and is keen to make contact and talk of their work or hobby. To me it speaks of an interesting encounter waiting to happen with this guy about to impart his working philosophy and knowledge which, for me, made a half hour of interesting insights. However interesting or disinteresting the speaker is, everyone deserves to be heard when they speak of their passions.
