Thanks both.
We spend (what is to me, at least) a small fortune on a DSLR and sharp, contrasty lens, then subject the images to this kind of degrading treatment!
I toned and blurred the shot then applied a scratch texture as a semi-opaque layer.

I don't think this is degrading the picture at all, photo editing can be an art in itself and hard work can go in to it some taking a few hours, i like this work and i think you have tried something new to you and appreciate it!
