The scary thing about that is you can walk right up to it, which I have done several times (when the water is below its level). It's an amazing structure.

Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

You’re right, it is amazing and, like you, I am more used to seeing it ‘dry’. Thanks for the encouraging comment. On the day I took this, I was actually heading for Bamford edge, but when I saw the plug holes ‘at work’ I went no further for the next two hours.

At least you can still walk round on the road. Mullhall reservoir, just along the road for example, is closed.
