That's a bit on the close side, isn't it, Crossed-up?!

Great image, though!

Thanks guys. Yes, it was pretty close but great fun. I had the camera poking out the window and after the Pitts pilot smiled for the photo he flipped upside down, turned on his smoke canister then climbed vertically out of sight Some of those guys up at the club are nutters (but in good way as far as I am concerned!) The Pitts was actually not as close as the other two Taylorcrafts that were up with us. (I may put some more pics up at some point) For some reason the pilot hasn't taken up my return offer of a thrash round the race track

Really nice... The patterns below, the smiling pilot, the color of the sun beams... I love it...

Very good It does seem incredibly close for a 24mm lens!

An acquaintance of mine killed himself some years ago by always insisting on using a standard lens for his air to air shots. The two aircraft collided and his Aztec camera ship crashed killing all three aboard.
Bet the Pitts was teetering on the edge to match the Taylorcraft's speed?

That's a sad story Paul. From memory I think the Taylorcraft was doing about 90 MPH airspeed.
