Many thanks Giulio! Was exciting making this on the edge of a huge drop, tripod and camera were tied to my rucksack (used as a ground anchor) just in case!
I liked the idea of looking down on the layers of falling water - rather than looking up from the base as we so often do
Brilliant. Idea, execution, title. Love it.
Many thanks indeed Mag😊 Really enjoyed making this 😊
Very cool, It gives a whole different perspective.
Many thanks Carol 😊 It's a very deep stepped gorge, that I may at some point abseil into, probably the only relatively safe way to get into it! This birds eye view really appealed to me on this visit 😊
Welll let me tell you it's shots like this that inspires me
Very kind of you to say so😊
That's quite creepy as there are other images visible!
😃 I am glad to hear that it's provoked your imagination Paul! The great photographer and author David Ward talks of photography's ability to offer us 'windows' and 'mirrors'. This image to my way of thinking offers both scenarios: a window into a rarely glimpsed gorge, in a remote ancient woodland (within a restricted access National Nature Reserve)... and an abstraction of the gorge waterfalls cascading into an abyss, from where one's imagination of shapes within shapes can be reflected back to us.

Great one Phil... love the energy flow... there's a real "whoosh" to this...

Many thanks for your generous and enthusiastic comments Bill The flow of energy was the first thought that came to mind as I sat beside this waterfall😊
Just love these shots of yours, so full of energy but relaxing at the same time
Thanks very much Malc😊 I seem to have a thing for juxtapositions of energy and (relative) solidity in a lot of my compositions😃 I am fond of transition zones: such as the drama at the edges of things; the change of seasons; farmland transitioning to moorland or mountains. As a climber, edges have a particular fascination 😁!
