Sorry to post a second shot of the subject but this better demonstrates the IQ of the K3.3 BODY - 300 DA* and HD DA 1.4 X AW CONVERTER combination.

it is a large crop of the bird which is perched 80 ft (24m above)

Yes, you captured details very well. Our subject looks a bit startled while giving impression it would think nothing of clawing your eyes out. A fine portrait.

Don't apologize - it's a super shot !
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Thanks all for your positive comments🙏🏻

I posted the image to demonstrate that the K3.3 and DA*300mm with 1.4 HD converter delivers decent a image despite the challenging conditions

* Poor light ,
* Wide open (max) aperture,
* Hand holding,
* Non-optimal shutter speed,
* The use of the 1.4 x converter
* The APSc crop factor
* A 50% image crop,

A couple of years back taking such an image under such challenging conditions would not have produced such a “usable and decent result”.

It is not a perfect image but importantly underlines the positive commentary regarding the K3.3 sensor and the performance of the “Pentax glass”

Pentax should be congratulated on the K3.3 development.
