Lined up Semazens

by nonur

The lined up semazens after shedding their black gowns which represent the earth. The dervish with the gown at the head of the row is the supervisor of the whirling sessions. During the sessions he walks slowly among the dancers and checks them. After this lining up they will slowly approach the postnishin one by one and, standing on his side, bend before him in reverence to ask his permission for the whirl by this gesture; the postnishin in return, will bend his head over their heads to show his approval. Then the semazens will start whirling one after another. Thank you for seeing.

The more I see, the more I want to see
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
