Charlotte all grown up.

Photo Information
I hope that some of you will remeber Charlotte, she was my Saturday girl in the bakery and then went onto Birmingham Uni to study Philosophy and she achieved a First class hons degree, well she is now all grown up and in three weeks she will be 24 and she is off the South America to work on an irrigation programme and farming, also to teach English, I am so proud of her as she has done all this on her own just helping out in the bakery every time she was home from Uni, she has also work at the Uni in Sheffield for a year as student support, so I thought I would like to show you a photo of her taken last night now she is all grown up and making her way in life. She is a very special young lady and I wish her well. She had also raised all the money herself to work on this charity programme.

My preference is for this shot as Charlotte is looking where she ought to - at the camera. You have captured her in a very nice natural pose which is pleasing to the eye.
Tell me Trixie is the wall behind her perhaps greenish in colour and the dress mabe a rich purple? I ask as there looks to be a strange colour cast in play.

Best whishes

Thank you Bob, the wall is greenish/ yellow and the dress is purple, I think I might have overdone the saturation though !!! She was just chatting away I never posed her for the photo, she is such an amzing young lady, I will miss her and when she comes back from her travels I will post more photos.

A charming portrait, Trixie. I prefer this to the mono shot as I am more drawn to portraits with eye contact: it just connects me with the sitter.
Best wishes,

Andrew

It is indeed a charming portrait Patricia. Perhaps adjusting the white balance may improve it?
Wish her 'good luck'from me too!

Really nice portrait of Charlotte. I like the warm tones and her natural pose and smiling eyes. The oversaturation isn't distracting but in her eyes.
