Ancient & Modern
BTW, I have got a lot of kit! A few examples are in this shot!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I can see why you are praising the lens in terms of its crispness and contrast but I find that particular bokeh very jarring - especially as that on the DSLR's controls keeps grabbing my attention.
Hi David
Thanks for the comment! I think the jarring bokeh is just this particular subject, not the lens. The light was shining on the K-5iis, making the buttons into highlights. The lens is great, just need to find a way to keep the aperture pin pushed in so I can use it at all apertures. It's an 'auto only' lens so there's no switch to turn the auto aperture off, which of course is no use on a modern K mount DSLR.
Cheers

Some cameras, some lenses, some bits 'n' bobs
without that pull to an object in the background the whole meaning of "Ancient & Modern" is lost....
it isn't unpleasant to my eye and highlights the "Modern" dslr, which would otherwise become fairly "lost".
Never be afraid to talk about your techniques...
