Can anyone shed any light on who might have manufactured this lens from the early 1980s?

No idea who made them but the result here is very nice.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

The is an entry in the 2012 Forum about this lens.

"The Super Ozeck lens range were produced in Japan in the early 1980s for the U.K.discount warehouse chain Comet. AP reviewed the entire range and considered the 135mm to be the cream of the crop and to be the equal of its contemporaries produced by the camera makers.
