Common Darter on a Plastic Pipe

by davidstorm

I got lucky this morning on the caravan site we were staying on. There's a pond in the middle and the pond had a few Common Darter Dragonflies. I got very close to this one.

Hi Stan

They don't often do this for me either but I'm learning that the trick with photographing wildlife of any kind is to put yourself in the right places, i.e. go where they go. If you can do this they usually come! With Dragonflies they are territorial and have their favourite perches. If you can observe and find out where these are you've cracked it!

Cheers
