just a daffoldil

I'm really impressed with the resolution this old Pentacon 30mm is capable of. This is a tremendously tight crop from a whole tubful of daffodils and, considering it's supposed to be a 'wide angle' lens, I can't complain.

No need to complain, the way the light seeps through throughout the image makes the harder edges meld into the soft petals. One of your better images in duotone - t

Yes, I do like the backlighting

Incidentally, is that Pentacon 30mm the old M42 f/3.5 version ?
(That was the first lens I ever got off ebay !)

Yes it is the f3.5 preset version. It's the only one that lives in my bag that is not a Takumar. Now and then a Jupiter 11A sneaks in too.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
