Exertions at Edale

Photo Information
A pair of ex-LMS 'Black Fives' are caught forging up the Edale Valley, shortly to plunge through Cowburn Tunnel and dive under the Pennines westwards.

Locomotives 45231 + 44871 were heading a London (Ealing Broadway) to Buxton day-trip on Saturday 15th March 2014.

I stood for an hour with the wind screaming down from Jacob's Ladder with no respite before the train arrived.

You have to suffer for your art Peter, but it was worth it.
