Puddles of early morning sunlight on the undulating slopes of the vales Yarnacombe, Wytchcombe, Spriddlescombe and Bearcombe. These lie in the South Hams area of Devon.
Yarnacombe and Brownston woods are in the immediate hanging valley.
Windy Ridge at Ugborough sits in the middle distance and the ridges of shoulders of Harford Moor, Stall Moor & Penn Moor on the southern fringes of the Dartmoor plateau sit in the far distance
Ordnance Survey grid reference = SX 697 527
Pentax K-x
Pentax 18-55mm SMC/DAL lens (at 36mm)
Hoya circular polarizer
HDR from 3 RAW files (-1.5, 0.5, +2.5 ev):
f/6.7
ISO-200
manual focus
matrix metering pattern
hand-held
HDR processed in Photomatix Pro 3.26.
Further processing & finishing touches using Lightroom 3.26 and Photoshop 6.0

Yet another fantastic landscape together with a very nice bit of "Pope" . You certainly set the bar very high .

perfect conditions for and usage of HDR - without it, probably a greyish, slihtly flat image - with it a picture that draws you in the landscape - that lets you feel it.....

Thanks ever so much for the encouraging comments on this one - it was great after two years of thinking about this image to actually have the chance to photograph it in such light... this is why the camera bag comes on almost all my journeys... just in case some delightful series of events, beyond my control should occur for a few moments

Thanks so much for your generous, encouraging and thoughtful comments David & Sandinista I had been here many times hoping see puddles of light accentuate each of these valleys all together and to have the light on the old stone building included was a wish come true. It is a magical part of our of our wonderful island around these parts... will I ever leave?... I would have to be dragged away kicking and screaming
