A very fine abstract landscape. lt makes an artistic image and at the same time has considerable scientific interest for a geologist.

Many thanks to you all for the nice comments.

This is the sort of shot that I love to take - something that most people would just walk past (or over !) without a second glance except to make sure they didn't miss their footing and trip over ! However, nature has provided a wonderful array of colours shapes and textures that I felt just had to be recorded. I'm sure you'll find this is not the last shot like this that I'll be posting on this gallery - you have been warned !
