Another early start on my bicycle to see what opportunities I could find for a decent sunrise picture and this is probably today's best attempt.
This is a bend on the Basingstoke Canal near Eelmore Flash.
Pentax K-3 with a DA18-135 @ 48mm
1/400sec, F10, ISO200 & -1.0 exposure compensation.
Shot raw, processed in LR5 with some final tinkering in PSE10.

I new it would start getting light around half an hour before sunrise and also new it would take 40 minutes or so to cycle to the best locations so I got up at 05:15 and left home at 05:30. Not something I would want to do regularly.
A lot of luck is also involved, today the weather and time of year came together to provide a rare opportunity to get a decent result.

Wow, really pleased to have been awarded Picture of the Week with this image. An accolade I have always thought was way above my level of skill.
