Liverpool, Lime Street Station, Underground Platform

by newbiek50user

An electric underground railway train is just entering the platform and, as it does, its lights illuminate the ceiling and walls.
Taken this morning, with permission from platform staff, using my K3 ii plus 1 Pentax 16-85 mm lens.

The light show is quite effective.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

POV and focal length both contributed to the interesting geometry of this underground shot.

Love the idea! Had you increased the ISO you might have got a much clearer shot? Certainly a good excuse to go back and have another go!

Thanks Paul and go4IT. I suspect part of my problem is my eyesight. I sometimes feel that the back button AF is not quite sharp but I then have to trust what I see through either live view or the viewfinder and I can never be sure whether I can trust my eyesight even with spectacles (about to be replaced with a new prescription!). I only find out the truth when I get home and load the images into Lightroom.

Not many people can hold a 1/4 second exposure perfectly! If the camera is focusing correctly you don't really need to see it!
