Seaside Steam 2

Photo Information
I have just been away again and surprise surprise, steam trains were nearby.

The Dartmouth Steam Railway passes this picturesque location at Goodrington Sands south of Paignton.

Here I met another Pentaxian from Coventry (K5+18-55) on Saturday morning as I took this shot.

It features ex GWR 4-6-0 No. 7827 'Lydham Manor' passing with the 1030 Paignton to Kingswear train.

I had to use my DA35 f2.4 and stand further back, as I have bumped my 16-45 and jammed the focussing mechanism

A most unusual and effective steam shot.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thank you for your comments, Andrew.

Not an usual shot though, as I saw quite a few photographers trying to recreate it and the railway use a similar view in their publicity literature.

A clearer sky would have been nice to set the steam apart, but third week in September?
