My first time....
Photo Information
This is my first time with a Pentax Optio RZ 18. It has been....exciting!!!I took this capture about 2 hours ago and this camera works good IMHO. I was looking for a compact lightweight pocket-camera..to use everiday when not possible to travel or to work having K20d and its lenses with me. One negative comment only: why these compact cameras do not have manual exposure? By the way: I have performed a few steps only to manage this file in CS5.(Levels-Curve).

VERY STRONG composition in this picture. Colours are maybe a little too saturated, but the shot is great.

Wonderful Giulio, I love the distance and trees just falling away. My compact has a manual setting the Optio 1-10 that i carry around with me. Its always lovely to see a sunny photo when we are having really bad weather! cheers Trixie

How strange a coincidence: I've been toying with the idea of buying one of these cameras or an Optio S1 as I'm unable to use an slr until my broken arm heals. It's good to see you can get good results like this!

Nice vivid colours, good composition. In my opinion your new camera worked well, it was a good idea to buy that. I am looking forward with interest for your newer shots tkaen with this camera.

Thank You ALL!! About weather: you're not glad of bad one in your countries. We're not glad of nice one. It's not raining and snowing...and we need it!
David: you're right about saturation. I suppose(well I'm sure)that warm and sat tones are due to late afternoon.
Trixie:what do you mean for manual settings? Is it possible to set fnumber and time speed separetely?
Andrew & Paul:do it!!I'm glad of this camera. 16Mpixel!A powerful zoom...I bought it two days ago...and I'm using it as a block-notes!!
Gabor: I'll do it. I want to test continous focusing(this camera is a small K20D.

I understand you. At a first glance I had same impressions looking at this landscape. Moreover I was looking for warm tones and I got. High fidelity camera...that well fit to my jeans' pockets.

At a first moment it has been difficult for me to practice with live-view monitor. I still prefer viewfinder....but after a few captures all these problems suddenly disappeared. About your arm: I'm sorry and I hope you'll be in good conditions asap. If you were an Italian political man...you could have a regular pension fot your arm-problem!!!
